dieses gemälde war ursprünglich teil eines prozessionsbanners für die corpus domini-bruderschaft in urbino . Dokumente zu zahlungen in 1542 und 1544 existiert immernoch . So früh wie 1546 , das banner wurde geteilt . Hier , tizian wiederholt die komposition des polyptychons der auferstehung . Die größere farbpalette , jedoch , ist typisch für seine arbeit kurz danach 1540 , obwohl beide abschnitte des banners mit hilfe seiner werkstatt hergestellt worden wären .
